DataStreams obtained U.S. Patent registration for Real-Time Change Data Capture (CDC)

DataStreams recently announced that it has acquired a U.S. patent related to real-time changed data capture (CDC).

The patent, acquired in the U.S. following the Korea patent, is a key technology applied to DeltaStream™, a solution that was developed in-house by DataStreams. DeltaStream replicates data that changes in the source database management system in real-time.

It is implemented as a process of recognizing changes in redo logs or archive log files in the source DBMS area in real time, replicating them to a "DeltaStream™" server, extracting change data from the replicated log file, and replicating it to the target DBMS. Due to these characteristics, it is possible to minimize the load on the source DBMS.

Chun Seung-Tae, head of the DataStreams Technology Institute, revealed, "There were many difficulties along the way, but we were able to succeed in registering our first patent in the U.S. He added, "DeltaStream is a ground-breaking product that is easy to operate and recover from any failures."
